Quilt 10 - Scrappy Stars

This is a pattern I made up myself, to use up some scrap fabrics I had.   I love making scrappy quilts, so this was lots of fun.  The quilting design was a free motion camelia pattern.  The quilt was donated to Lismore Base Hospital.

Quilt 9 - Green Oklahoma backroads

I made this quilt from the free pattern at Quiltville (see http://quiltville.blogspot.com.au/2005/06/oklahoma-backroads.html ).

I used more 'controlled' colours, but still with scrap fabrics.  The quilt was donated to Lismore Base Hospital

Quilt 8 - Agi's quilt

Agi is Marnie's little sister (see Quilt 7).  When Agi was born in December 2008, I made quilts for both Agi and Marnie.  I wasn't sure if Agi was going to be a boy or a girl, so I made the quilt unisex and finished it by adding Agi's name (Agnes) on when she was born.  Lots of farm animals featured, to go with the farm Agi is growing up on.

Quilt 7 - Marnie's quilt

Ths is a quilt I made for Marnie, a little friend of mine, a few years ago.  Marnie is a farm girl, and I was inspired to make her an applique quilt featuring some of the animals on her farm, including Ces the dog, Diesel the horse and Tucker the cow.

Christmas decorating

Here is a photo of the new Nativity scene.  (When I was buying the bale of hay, the fellow from Norco Rural referred to it as a 'Naivety' scene and so that is what it is often called at our house).  The Nativity scene on Saturday originally had a stable aswell, however it turned out to be the un-stable and kept falling over.  So as not to incur any legal action from injuries to the neighbourhood kids, it has been dismantled for now.  Watch this space for further stable improvement and perhaps further character development in 2013....

I've also included a photo of our outdoor Christmas tree. One of the giant baubles fell off on the weekend, thank goodness no-one was standing underneath.

Foster Dog #20 - Banjo

I have been very tardy in posting a photo of our most recent foster dog, Banjo.  We looked after Banjo a few months ago and he has since found a new home.  Banjo was a lovely dog - very keen on his walks but unfortunately also a little keen in enlisting Honey on week-day missions to dig up the veggie patch....

Foster Dog #19 - Jilly

This is Jillian (Jilly), who is our current foster dog. She is about 3 months old with an unknown breed (staffy cross, boxer??).

She is totally adorable and is a very welcome visitor to our home
