Quilt 67 - Country Heaven

This quilt was made from fabrics donated by St Vincents Op Shop at Alstonville.  There were some country-themed panels, plus some other blocks which had a country theme.  So I put them together with some other remnant check fabrics and made this quilt, which follows a row-by-row approach. Quilt is going to be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 66 - Floral

This quilt was made using remnant fabrics donated by the fabulous team at the Alstonville St Vincent's Op Shop.  Lovely floral fabrics which are repeated on the reverse side, with an asymmetrical sashing framework.
Quilt to be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 65 - School bus

For our 2016 challenge, my quilt group handed out some otherwise unattractive fabric and the challenge was to make a quilt incorporating the fabric with an overall theme of 'grand entrance' (which needed to include a door).  The fabric ended up as the school uniform fabric, which then inspired the school bus and the school/road-themed filler blocks.  The quilt will be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 64 - Pink bargello

This is a quilt I started many years ago.  It was being prepared as the baby quilt for a friend of my sister.  The baby's gender was a secret so I had started working on both a boy and a girl quilt.  The baby was a boy and so this quilt was spare.  I eventually finished it years later and it will be donated to Quilts for Kids.  It is based on a bargello pattern but I think as a baby quilt the overall effect is lost but I am happy with the overall look regardless.

Quilt 63 - Baby chevrons

This quilt was made for a challenge through my quilt group, Telequilters.  We purchased a CD on 'Triangulations' which is an easy way to quickly make half- and quarter-square triangles.  I used fabric donated to another lady in the quilt group by a friend who is a children's clothing designer, so they are beautifully patterned.  Really happy with the result and quilt will be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 62 - Colourful frogs

This quilt was made using remnant fabrics donated by the fabulous team at the Alstonville St Vincent's Op Shop.  There was enough fabrics for the repeated black and white frog print, which I think framed with scrappy materials in a colour theme - really love those colourful frames and they were a great way to use leftover material.  Quilt to be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 61 - French mice friends

This quilt was made as a challenge from my quilt group Telequilters.  The theme was a quilt with a 'window' view point.  I found the gorgeous panel online and am really pleased with the result.  Quilt will be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.

Quilt 60 - Thomas the Tank Engine

I made this quilt using fabrics donated by the fabulous supports at the Alstonville St Vincent's Op Shop. The quilt will be donated to Quilts 4 Kids.
