Honey photo gallery

Here are a couple of photos of Honey. I wanted to post the one of her 'smiling', but then found the one with the pink sunglasses and of course that had to go on the blog too.

Lismore Show

The Lismore Show (North Coast National) was on 20-22 October. My sister and I went and had a great time. We checked out the cute animal nursery, and also my entry in the quilt challenge which had the theme 'My Youth'

Foster Dog #17 - Leo

Leo arrived last night as a last-minute foster placement. He's an 18 month old foxy cross. A very cute little dog who loves people, but he's not so sure about the attention from the big fluffy Honey just yet!

Honey gets a bath

Honey and I went to the NRAS Big Birthday Bash last Saturday, to celebrate NRAS' 10th birthday.

As part of the day, Honey got a complementary bath as she is a foster sister. This was Honey's first time having a professional groom. She hates having a bath at home, and wasn't so keen on the shower phase from the mobile dog wash either. She was a bit happier with the towel dry....

Foster Dog #16 - Bandit

This is Bandit, who is a 5 (?) month old blue heeler x staffy (?). He is very sweet, very clever and full of puppy energy.

Here are some photos of Honey and Bandit - the first one looks like they are posing for a lineup!

Foster Dog #15 - Jak

This is a photo of Jak, who was our 15th foster dog. Jak is a pure bred dalmatian, and because of his beautiful pedigree he was in high demand and was adopted by his new family very quickly.

Foster Dog #14 - Turtle

Here is our current foster dog Turtle. Not sure if she was named on purpose, but she is really shy and hardly sticks her head out. However, she is very sweet and is responding well to attention from both people and her foster dog sister Honey, who is teaching her by example how to walk on a lead and sit before being fed. Turtle has such a lovely nature, I would be surprised if she doesn't find her new permanent home soon.

Foster Dog #13 - Bella

This is Bella, who is our 13th foster dog. She is a 7 month old staffy. Not good as posing for photos, but she is a lovely looking dog with a glossy black coat.

Her profile for adoption can be found at:

Quilt 5 - Double Wedding Ring quilt

I made this quilt for my brother's wedding on 10 May 2008. It's a traditional double wedding ring quilt and the pattern includes lots of symbolism: the two colours represent the two individuals getting married, the various shades symbolise the changing state of married life, and the intertwined circles resemble wedding rings.

This quilt was completely hand-stitched.

Foster Dog #12 - Sally

This is Sally, who just arrived today. She's about 6 months old, some sort of retriever mix. A very sweet dog who is a delight to look after
