Quilt 144 - 3 yard challenge

My quilt group (Telequilters) had a challenge whereby we all made the same 3 yard pattern, but each using different fabrics.

We all had to donate 1 yard of a fabric we had in our collection.  Those donations were then swapped anonymously within the group, and we then had to add on other fabric from our own collection to go with the donated fabric.

The colour combination here is much 'louder' than what I usually used, but having to add from our own collection was a good change to push my colour boundaries.

Quilt 143 - Block Munki

I came across this pattern online, and think it's called Block Munki.

I'll see if I can find the site and link it here.

I love the feature fabric, and how the pattern used a bunch of smaller scrappy pieces.

This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.

Quilt 142 - Pink French Braid

I am a big fan of Bonnie Hunter from Quiltville, and this is a pattern from one of her many wonderful books.

I love a scrappy quilt, and had a great time making this from a beautiful range of fabrics donated via St Vinnies Op Shop Alstonville.  So good to keep remnant fabric out of landfill, and making them into cute quilts.

This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.

Quilt 141 - Frogs

After spotting some cute frog fabric in the collection of fabrics donated by St Vinnies Op Shop Alstonville, I wanted to make a quilt with them.

A simple pattern, with a variety of sashing fabrics.  The quilt also gave me a chance to experiment with my free-motion quilting .  I think the result is very cute.  This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.

Quilt 140 - Red White Black

My quilt group (Telequilters) had a quilting challenge for the Christmas 2023 meeting.  We had to make a quilted item with the theme 'red, white, black'.

I made a quilt, using black and white fabrics, with red sashings.

It is made from a Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville), and I need to look up the pattern name.

This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.

Quilt 139 - Country Retreat

For my quilt group (Telequilters) retreat in 2023, we had to make a quilted item with the theme 'Country Retreat'.

I made a quilt.  Fabrics were sourced from generous donations from the St Vinnies Op Shop Alstonville.

This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.

Quilt 138 - Indigenous Spring Twist

I think the name of this quilt pattern is Spring Twist.

I made it with some beautiful Indigenous fabrics that were gifted to my sister (we share a house, and share the quilts on hand).

Quilt 137 - James 2023

This is a quilt I made for my godson James for Christmas 2023.

I need to find the pattern details and add them to this post

But here is a picture of the quilt:

Quilt 136 - Australiana 2

This quilt is based on beautiful Jocelyn Proust fabrics, which I got for my birthday.  I used a 60 degree ruler, and supplemented with other fabrics from my stash.  I will be keeping this quilt for personal use.

Quilt 135 - Australiana 1

This quilt is made from beautiful Jocelyn Proust fabrics, which I got for my birthday.  The pattern I used is based on a disappearing 4 patch (I think).  This one will be staying in my personal collection.

Quilt 134 - Teddy Bears

Another quilt made from remnants donated by the St Vinnies Op Shop Alstonville.  This quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.  I'm really liking the dark blue alongside the cinnamon brown fabric colours.

Quilt 133 - Floral Stars

I love a good floral quilt.  This one is made from remnant fabrics donated by the St Vinnies Op Shop in Alstonville.  Finished quilt has been donated to Quilts4Kids.
